Speaking From Personal Experience. Simply put, Diabetes, the inability of the body to use sugar, is due to several factors
including the inability of the pancreas to produce insulin and/or the inability to get insulin into cells for the production of
energy or both.
The writer has diabetes and attempted to get it under control with Actos, an expensive anti-diabetic drug. For several
months the drug stabilized blood sugar wonderfully. But, after nine months of use, we noted a significant bloating, 20 pound
weight gain and arthritis to the point where we could not tie our shoe laces, bend our fingers or walk in the morning. Please
do not take this as relating to your use of Actos. For you, it may be perfect..
We discontinued Actos and within days the arthritis disappeared. We went back with ½ and ¼ the tablet doses to no avail in
eliminating the arthritis.
The writer, who has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, decide to try GTF Chromium. Within 2 weeks we were in better control of our
blood sugar that ever … we cut back the dose of insulin to 1/3 with great sugar control; plus we eat desert, chocolate, in
moderate amounts with no loss of blood sugar control.
We decided to grow our Broccoli SuperVeggies in Chromium enriched water and, pleasantly, our Brocco/Chromium gives us
the same sugar control as the GTF Chromium, plus the anti-oxidant, energy boosting , anti-cancer benefits of Broccoli
sprouts.
Two caveats (1)Chromium will be of no use in Diabetes that is due to lack of insulin production or injection (2) All Chromium
supplements are not the same. The writer has found Vitamin Shoppe GTF Chromium, 200mcg to be reliably functional ..
and we have NO connection to Vitamin Shop.
